Maximum of 4 participants per workshop to allowed an authentic & personalized experience for everyone.
Price: $2,199 per participant per 4 day workshop
*Price does not include transportation to/from Tooele, Utah to attend the workshop or the cost of accommodations. Lunch on Thursday and Friday. Discounted hotel room rates are available locally for particpants & additional details will be given at time of booking.
Itenerary
- Thursday - 10:30am meet and greet with your guides, 11:30am depart Tooele and head to the range to photograph the beautiful wild Onaqui mustangs. 7:30pm arrive back in Tooele.
- Friday - 10:30am image review and discussion, 11:30am depart Tooele and head to the range to photograph the beautiful wild Onaqui mustangs. 7:30pm arrive back in Tooele.
- Saturday - 9:00am depart Tooele and start the trip to a destination location for instruction on using external light sources to create artistically inspired equine images inside an authentic barn. The afternoon will be spent photographing western themed horse and rider images on location until sunset. 7:30pm arrive back in Tooele.
- Sunday - 9:00am depart Tooele for a morning shooting blacksmith work and detail shots. A break for lunch in a historic Utah town will lead to a full afternoon of instruction on learning new skills for post production of your images and how to create fine art products of your own.

I am a professional photographer and photo tour guide in Western Utah and I love nothing more than being able to spend time in the peaceful solitude of the range with the Onaqui wild horses. Whether it be creating special memories for my tour guests or creating new art pieces to add to my portfolio, the time spent in this special place with these beautiful soulful creatures is never less than completely rewarding.
I am also the President and Founder of Red Birds Trust 501c3 to preserve and protect our beloved Onaqui wild mustangs on and off the range.

Alex Hover
I am a fine art Western Equine Art Photographer from Northern Utah. I was born and raised in Utah's mountains and deserts. I love the American West and creating images that represent what I love about it. Horses have been my life since I was a kid, and after picking up a camera 10 years ago, photography, horses, and the capturing the essence of the American West have been my purpose from that point on.
